Since founding Monterrey Security in 1999, Juan Gaytan has overseen the company’s growth and expansion to become one of the leading security companies in the nation. Still, he has ensured that Monterrey Security’s local focus remains strong, both in work with neighborhood businesses and support for community organizations. Monterrey serves a broad range of industries and facilities including healthcare, social services, financial, critical infrastructure, education, cultural institutions, sports, and entertainment. Critical partnerships like those at the University of Notre Dame demonstrate the wide variety of professional service programs that Monterrey Security can custom tailor to suit the needs of our partners. Monterrey also maintains strong community ties through local neighborhood-based partnerships including Chicago Catholic Charities and Erie Neighborhood House. To help protect iconic Chicago facilities and events such as Soldier Field, the John G. Shedd Aquarium, and the Bank of America Chicago Marathon; Monterrey Security employs key public safety leaders including retired First Deputy Superintendents of the Chicago Police Department and the former Director of the Illinois State Police.
Juan Gaytan, Jr. is the first-generation son of immigrants from Monterrey, Mexico. He was born and raised on the southwest side of Chicago along with his six siblings. Juan is a graduate of Quigley Seminary South where he developed his drive to serve the community through public safety. Juan served on the Chicago Police Department for 12 years before leaving to pursue the further development of Monterrey Security.
